The Hinged Door requires a slightly larger opening than 900mm for it to be truly functional.A door width of about 600mm is usually an ideal size as it is not too large and unwieldy and can be easily got around. A small panel takes up the remaining area. The door normally opens inwards, this way we can guarantee waterproofing.
Hinged doors opening out are available but are less waterproof due to the fact that there is a gap where the door must clear the sill and water can splash out, even though the gap is kept to a minimum. In addition any water on the door will fall on the floor when the door is opened.
